A splendid mix from Uncertified and Good Looking’s DJ Madcap.
If you know the name, you will know the reputation for oldskool sets that comes with it and this mix is no exception.

Myself and a few others knocked this up way back in 2006, and fitting perfectly in our designated timezone at Drumtrip, it makes sense to add it.
You can see the original 2006 thread at breakbeat.co.uk here
This basically consisted of each DJ doing their seperate parts, and then my good self pasted them all together in Soundforge to create one uber trans-atlantic mega mix.
So I did my mix, and let the last tune play out, and sent to to Kola, who mixed into it, Did the same and sent it back. And I glued them together and so on.
All mixes are real, no editing has gone on the actual mixes themselves, just to make the mix continious.Featuring tunes from 1993 to 1997, covers a wide range of Jungle styles with some of our favourite tracks. No anthem biz, some proper out the crates biz.
5 DJs, 6 tracks each (bar J, he is above that)
Looks like….

Right, this has nothing to do with Jungle really, except the medium of Vinyl, which we all love dearly like our own little 12′ inch, noisy, radial children.
Taken from synthgear.com, it shows what looks like a lunar landscape as opposed to tiny grooves, although it makes me worry further what damage my needle might be doing to my precious collection.
Chris Supranowitz is a researcher at The Insitute of Optics at the University of Rochester. Along with a number of other spectacular studies (such as quantum optics, trapping of atoms, dark states and entanglement), Chris has decided to look at the relatively boring grooves of a vinyl record using the institute’s electron microscope. Well, not boring for me.
From what I read, it’s not just a simple matter of sticking a record under a fancy microscope, as there is a lot of preparation (such as gold-sputtering the surface) and post-processing to be done. Having said that, the results are very cool:

Crazy mix from Stimpy, featuring over 100 jungle tunes looped and mashed up, this is more of a project than a mix.
Huge effort gone into this.

A sample tracklisting below, read full post for more.
This is one of three dubplates I bought from Phil Aslett about 2 years ago on eBay, surprisingly they had gone unnoticed so I got them for a cheap price.
Anyway, 2 of the 6 tunes on the dubplates were fully unreleased, one was a downtempo thing like Modus Operandi, and one was a jazzy D&B number, this is the latter.
Cut at the prestigious Masterpiece, this dates back to around 1997-98, so its a little out of the Drumtrip era but still worth putting up, according to what Phil said at the time, it could be the only copy in existence.
The tune itself isn’t vintage Source Direct, its totally different to Exorcise The Demons too, but its still a nice piece.
Check a nice clip I uploaded to youtube below.
Ill get the downtempo piece called ‘Monte Carlo’ on very soon.
